Doesn't look like the bunny WIP I have is going to get done on time...to many projects at once:) Finished the chick for one of my sons friends, her favorite color is purple and I just happened to have a couple different shades on hand so that's what I went with. She loved it! These are great scrap yarn projects. </font><div><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><img id="id_23ea_11f1_538a_65f6" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-FyGa_yUDBLY/VSHTplaahwI/AAAAAAAAHG0/I91FNWTD_fU/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 513px; height: auto;"><font size="5"><br></font><div><br></div></div><a href="https://thegreendragonfly.wordpress.com/" id="id_69cd_c41c_4bd5_d79c">pattern</a>... valentines69http://www.blogger.com/profile/15065964052222139181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5856625331850425052.post-28417847377359739942015-03-31T18:31:00.001-05:002015-03-31T18:31:44.053-05:00Crochet Mystery Afghan <font size="5">Finished up clues 6 & 7 just in time for the new clues today. It was a total pain in the behind,</font><div><font size="5">but I had fun learning a new technique. I'm also thinking at this point my afghan is far from perfect.</font></div><div><font size="5">Not sure if I mentioned this before, but my loops were crocheted a little too loose. In fact, I went back and loosened them up a bit thinking they might go down the middle of the "x" instead of pointing up towards the corners. Lol, don't they always say to go with your first thought...and once again this theory is proven correct.</font></div><div><font size="5">I'm ok with it, and like my afghan in spite of any artistic differences it might have:) I also like the pattern, and have seen some crazy colors come together to have a stunning affect.</font></div><div><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><img id="id_224a_e4a2_f642_8422" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-0CsXUSgd5aE/VRsuBUyUB_I/AAAAAAAAHGA/-aeoioT86V4/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 504px; height: auto;"><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_a976_1e84_205b_488b" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-tYpM2jkItHo/VRsuG6JJkfI/AAAAAAAAHGI/77c1C9TlhMY/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 504px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_26a1_a0fc_cacc_810c" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-KGwHmmSzxaU/VRsuMPeuXoI/AAAAAAAAHGQ/EAPAaqJFh-o/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 502px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_c823_eccb_3854_2c0c" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-mcmB6vFecrw/VRsuW7DZIlI/AAAAAAAAHGY/OHfB1lOyTRw/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 507px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><font size="5">Above is actually a picture of the back...</font></div>... valentines69http://www.blogger.com/profile/15065964052222139181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5856625331850425052.post-74273225414924402572015-03-19T02:22:00.001-05:002015-03-31T18:36:04.741-05:00Alphabet ATC<font size="5">I recently joined a group that will be cross stitching and swapping ATC's (artist trading cards).</font><div><font size="5">As you can tell from the title, the theme is the alphabet. Allow an extra length of jute/twine (double it) for the larger bunny ears when you cut your pieces. I knotted twice the length I wanted for the bunny body, cut the ends leaving about half inch tails to be hot glued in the middle of the body when I folded it in half to make it a lapel pin. It just gives it a little more stability (helps keep the ears flat) and adds some shape. For the bunny, I glued the whiskers on the back at the top, and the pin on the lower body. A small piece of tan felt will hide the glue. You can also add a small bow by one of the ears. Easy peasy:)</font></div><div><font size="5"><br></font></div><img id="id_565b_d720_db2e_dbf0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-lv4GFBIJfv0/VQJHnxPM1LI/AAAAAAAAHEk/EPP7Sa6g584/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 509px; height: auto;"><div><br></div><div><img id="id_7bf8_ada_6bbf_176" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5B3yC6Lfqao/VQJHvTd0U1I/AAAAAAAAHEs/b7F3zRKzulo/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 500px; height: auto;"></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_3674_16b5_f3c_3496" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-KG7wskstZfY/VQJH47v75jI/AAAAAAAAHE0/eyZUi4lhW6M/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 507px; height: auto;"></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_b6e7_e19c_b833_eedc" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-456HCYMPRbo/VQJH9Tay0zI/AAAAAAAAHE8/OQPxf6pb6HE/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 501px; height: auto;"></div><div><br></div><div><font size="5">Easter Bunny & Christmas Mouse </font></div><div><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><img id="id_39fc_c242_23c7_9cd4" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-v1vE_h6NbTk/VQJIF0pBW5I/AAAAAAAAHFE/mh32OLy2gSM/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 507px; height: auto;"><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><br></div><div><font size="5">I already had the body done when I decided to finish a mouse for </font></div><div><font size="5">the photo. </font><span style="font-size: x-large;">The ears could be a little smaller for the mouse pins.</span></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_5541_604a_64bf_ecf3" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-VuwgHSy5k_c/VQJIIdDeZVI/AAAAAAAAHFM/oedK2E2f944/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 526px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.oocities.org/enchantedforest/9092/mouse.html" id="id_27c3_39c1_8b3a_6d84" target="_self">Macrame Mouse</a><br></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_60a2_8884_3f4d_76ef" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Zz4YAbbUojE/VQJIKvt46mI/AAAAAAAAHFU/8lEfC9FQ2rg/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 520px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.bostonbeadcompany.com/pages/knots" id="id_b36e_29fb_d3ba_3283">Square Knot</a><br></div><div><div><font size="5"><br></font></div></div>... valentines69http://www.blogger.com/profile/15065964052222139181noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5856625331850425052.post-21564042129312560702015-03-12T12:44:00.001-05:002015-03-12T12:44:23.089-05:00Week 5 Crochet Crowd Mystery Afghan<font size="5">I'm finally caught up from last week and ready for the next clue. This time I'm cutting it close, but I'm still on time to be in on it from the beginning.</font></div><div><font size="5">This one can be crochet or knit. I would rather knit it as I've never created a knit afghan, but I'm a very slow knitter and have some difficulties following some of the directions. In order to keep up with the weekly clues/pattern, I've chosen to try the crochet version.</font></div><div><font size="5">There will be thousands of crocheters and knitters participating globally in this one and posting pictures of their progress. I'm looking forward to seeing all the beautiful color combinations and how I'm gonna measure up. I'm terrible at choosing colors, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. I'll be posting my progress as I finish the weekly clues/pattern. I'm hoping I don't run into trouble! </font><span style="font-size: x-large;">This afghan is said to challenge and teach new techniques, but sounds fun.</span></div><div><font size="5"><br></font></div><div><font size="5">All crocheters and knitters welcome ...check it out in the link below.</font></div><div><a href="http://thecrochetcrowd.com/2015-knit-crochet-along-mystery-afghan/" id="id_9d25_a437_df07_2f8c">Crochet Crowd Mystery Afghan</a><br></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_75d1_2ec7_d999_1df7" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-vdkZEvAzsLk/VNe5GN66NII/AAAAAAAAG_w/xYEVvv75qdA/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 502px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div><font size="5"> Finding this mystery afghan project with just two days before it starts the clues, didn't leave me very much time to select my color palette. Just my luck,</font></div><div><font size="5"> I found it on a Sunday, and Hobby Lobby is closed. </font><span style="font-size: x-large;">My Walmart didn't have much of a yarn selection left. I like the color changes, and the light </font><span style="font-size: large;">fluffy texture.</span><div><font size="4">This has been a fun project for snow days. Does it really count if you don't say it out loud?</font><div><font size="4">Any one else like to watch a show, relax and work on some crochet? Me too! Just bought this beautiful yarn</font><div><font size="4">( Purl Essence/ Rainbow Boucle ) to make an infinity scarf to wear with one of my coats. I was so into watching Lost Girl</font></div><div><font size="4"> on Netflix that </font><span style="font-size: large;">I wasn't paying close enough attention to what I was doing. I swear, I had half of this project done before I realized </span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">it was getting wider with each row. So I had to rip all the way back almost to the beginning ( grrr ).</span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">I've got it all straightened out now:) Since I'm only on season two of this show I </span><span style="font-size: large;">will continue to check width after each row. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">This scarf actually started out as a knitting project, but I switched to crochet. In all honesty I liked the knit look a little better </span></div><div><font size="4">than the crochet one, but I'm much faster crocheting and very slow knitting. The pattern I'm going by is a free one that came printed </font></div><div><font size="4">on the inside of the yarn label. </font></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4">I chained 40, double crochet till u reach desired length, crochet last row to first row to complete the circle and tuck in all ends.</font></div><div><font size="4">Simple plan right? LOL and I still managed to mess it up. That's ok, it's all working out now.</font></div><div><font size="4">Here's what I have so far after ripping back:</font></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><img id="id_4829_1436_5e8e_2e1e" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Vmpo4meYdC0/VL3wrQv8HQI/AAAAAAAAG9I/0HsQNa3AYJ8/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 504px; height: auto;"><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"> Above: my big mess </span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br></span></div><div><img id="id_e78f_5050_664a_1778" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2QNFmS6IGzQ/VL3wxP2JPXI/AAAAAAAAG9Q/BDOc0DlMQtk/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 505px; height: auto;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br></span></div><div><img id="id_8e3d_8adf_5f7_fd58" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9OPLUTznsLI/VL3w3-mUOSI/AAAAAAAAG9Y/QrBHfgV0np0/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 507px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div>Miss Khloe loving the yarn</div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_24d0_ef62_8382_b44d" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QDuUhAzNa_o/VL91ZDtxIHI/AAAAAAAAG-I/VFgg-UpEOUo/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 504px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div><font size="4">In this one she has just spotted my crochet hook...she is the one that hid it on me last time .</font></div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_ac58_61a3_2d84_5096" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mYosZecpCEM/VL3w7AZv9RI/AAAAAAAAG9g/1xBuoBYtKow/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 512px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div>She discovered the crochet hook and snatched it up before I could grab it. </div><div>Lol no worries:)</div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_11cc_3537_87cd_bf47" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-0Fc_b2IbP_U/VL3xAZNWgKI/AAAAAAAAG9o/ZkyCu0Dqz0k/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" style="width: 507px; height: auto;"><br></div><div><br></div><div>Where is the best place to lay?
